December 18 afternoon...

While I work on laundry and start making mental notes on what needs to be cleaned before Christmas I thought I would stitch a little more!  How does the instagram look?  Never used this before but I always see it on twitter!

On a side note...I have been browsing fudge recipes.  I found this ONE that I think I am going to make.  Our music minister at church posted a picture of a cherry pie with fudge on top and that is what I am trying to make.  I figure I can just get the pie crust, cherry filling, bake, and then pour the fudge mixture on top and let it cool.  Yum! And holy carbs batman!

Remember tomorrow is our giveaway announcement.  Know other stitchers that could use some fresh stitching basics to give as a gift or to boost their new year, new stitching?  Refer them over!  Just click on the post title to get the direct link!

Here is one of my other WIPs that I will be working and finishing in 2013.  A small story behind this project...well, actually there are two.  One is that their is a tea stain in the upper left corner of this project.  I have scrubbed and scrubbed this to remove and have decided to leave the stain.  The stain was not made by me but instead by my mother-in-law.  She has since passed from Alzheimer's and I think leaving the stain would be a great reminder on how I worked on this project with her sitting nearby!  The second story is that the pattern calls for the stitcher to stitch the days of the week on top of each of the bloomers.  Instead I am going to stitch the names of each of us in our family on top of each bloomer.  I thought it would add a bit more of personalization.  What do you think?
Here is what the chart looks like and here is my un-ironed progress!

  1. Looks great and I think the idea of the names is wonderful. Also leaving the tea stain sounds like a really nice reminder of a loved one.
